temperatures are bitter but are warming slowly, fading snow still clutters skyscraping pines, and rain seems to linger under the clouded horizon as well as the sun.

Between the whispers we hear at night from one mouth to another, the rumors of how the alien colors in the sky got there may never be figured out by the wolves. But they believe they show when a new wolf has come to their lands. Create your character here, and start your journey.
The Tenebrous Timberland is known for being a cold, desolate forest with a natural border formed of tall pine trees. The ground is slightly soggy and damp from the cyclical presence of rain; if you happen to be caught in one of these regular downpours, be prepared to look for shelter immediately. The eye of the storm is said to always hover above a legendary lake that supposedly exists at the center of the forest. The lake never receives any of the rain from the storm, so it would be a good idea to try to find the lake if you get caught in a storm.
The Stray Circle isn’t quite a pack, used to be a great hang out for loners. The river carves a path through the lush vegetation of the forest, leading to a clearing with several overturned trees and a waterfall. The waterfall flows into a medium-sized, tepid pool; a great place to land after jumping from the waterfall. On the opposite side of the clearing is a hot spring that is completely separate from the river. The minerals in the spring’s water are good for wolves that have illnesses or that have been injured physically, mentally, or emotionally. Overall, the Stray Circle is a convivial place of gathering, festivities, and good spirit. When all of the partying is over, there are several hollowed-out trees that are loaded with comfy moss and leaves to house tired wolves for as long as they like.
The Ivory Coast is a place of both beauty and fear. The cold, white sands of the beach are famed for the glass-like way they sparkle under light. There are large chunks of ice everywhere within the water, some are bigger than others. Soon after crossing the shoreline into the frigid waters, there is a steep drop into an abyssal darkness where Orca whales lurk. You can bet for sure they are hungry. Legend and superstition circulate around the ivory beach. Many say they have heard music playing deep underwater. The owner of this music box is said to be a she-wolf that changes shape with the desires of the beholder. She is different to everyone, but deadly all the same. Come near her and there is no escape. Maybe you’ll find it true…?
The Amber Prairie is characterized by its tranquility. It is very quiet on the prairie; the only noteworthy sound is the sound of the wind whistling through the grass. The amber color of the grass is where the amber prairie gets its name; looking down from a hilltop, the grass is so brilliantly amber colored that when the wind ripples across the surface, it looks like molten gold. The grass is tall enough to hide an adult wolf, but it is also difficult to see through it unless you are able to find a large rock in the midst of the grass. Though game is great here, watch out for other hungry predators: especially big cats.
This place was once a war zone, and before that, a large packland. It used to be a beautiful land. To keep it short, this scarred land has been pushed far beyond its limits. So much so, that less foliage grows here than any other place. To put it short, no pack stays here long. They are chased out by another, or a forest fire. This is the highest spot on breathe, located on a high mountain area. Being at such a high altitude and a dry climate, forest fires are common here. Old wolf skeletons are found commonly, and the ground is stained red. So why is this place so desirable and foughten over so often in its past? This place is sheltered by the mountains, and hidden from human sight. There is a huge water source - along with a waterfall hidden somewhere - and not that it really matters as much to wolves, but the entire place has an amazing view of breathe.
The Clay Crossroads is a dirt road that humans are sometimes found hiking on. Exercise caution when treading this path, for if humans find a wolf here, they’ll shoot it or take it to the city to be used by scientists as a test subject. The road holds enough allure for wolves to risk taking it though. If you are brave, you can get into the city through it to rescue a friend or simply for adventure. Wolves that aren’t such dare-devils choose to take it because it is a road that can get you to anywhere within Breathe.
This is perhaps the most frightening and disturbing place in all of Breathe. Some say it’s also the most haunted, due to the story of the river’s red color. According to legend, there were once two love-struck wolves that cared deeply about each other, but one was mated to a wolf she didn’t love. When the female’s mate refused to give her pups because of the fact he hated them, she left and got pregnant with her true love because she was angry with her mate. Returning to her mate, he smelled the other wolf on her and drowned her in the river. It is said that her bleeding heart stained the rocks red. When her true love saw that her mate had drowned her, he killed the other wolf and then himself. On a full moon, exactly at two o’clock the river runs red with the blood of the lovers and their cries are heard over the roar of the water. Pups must stay away from this river at all costs, for if they don’t, the male mate’s spirit lives in the river and will drown any pup if he ever gets the chance. murder or serious injury warning.
The Charred Caverns are a place of solitude and reflection. The burned walls reveal that a fire engulfed the cave at some point, but the caverns have been burned ever since they were discovered so no one knows for sure what happened. If you wander deep enough into the cave, some say that there are places where the fire didn’t reach and that there are still cave paintings. Occasionally, rare herbs are found growing in cracks in the walls; these rare herbs are helpful for healing larger ailments. Predators have a tendency to want to stay away from the charred caverns, so it is a nice, safe place for thoughtful quiet time…
Being a both dangerous and perplexed place itself, it seems just a bit mad for a wolf to venture here. It resides just beside a mammoth sized seaport, which is always bustling with activity like bee's in a hive. Ships sail in, and ships sail out, making each day never the same as the one before or the next - holding a new face to notice with each stroll down the street. It isn't exactly the most tip top shaped area in all of Younimar, as the new section of the city itself is merely a work in progress. The ground is filled to the top of buildings in some places and filled of mainly muck and trash. Obviously the people here don't care much about an eco-friendly-environment. This sorta backdrop, however, does tend to play on the wolves' side of getting around, stealing, or, haha 'borrowing' what is needed, the every day getting around, etc. The entire place is already beginning to clutter with more and more humans, and that sorta environment only makes it ever the more risky for wolves to venture in. Despite all the warnings and risks, some wolves actually seek this place just outside of Breathe as a way to cope with every day life. Just because they do doesn't make it any the easier place to live, and it is definitely not the place to reside in for even a ten minute nap. You most likely have a 50 percent chance of getting caught here, and rumor has it that wolves are usually killed and even the ones who live pass the death toll give in to repay a life's long time of work. Some say wolves venture in within the city's barrier, and never come back out...
Slim Point is sorta just what it's name resembles as it isn't exactly a solid, firm place to be. It doesn't exactly have bursting confetti and meandering banners screaming 'Welcome!' at every single creature that walks by. Despite it's usual vagabond holding grounds it does hold a place for wolves to call Home Sweet Home. Typically wolves tend to stay as loners to avoid any tricksters or backstabbers, or even reside in small groups to insure comfort, warmth, a higher chance to live, etc. The safety here is also a lot higher than that of Keizigma, and it's almost never that any sort of threat from that place ever reaches these grounds. Despite how safe it sounds and all cozy and cuddling it may seem... it isn't a pretty place, not anymore at least. It is really a complete dump. There's nothing beautiful about it, unless your a slobbering pig and just love to roll around in trash and whoever knows what the heck may be in here.
